Course Description
This class will emphasize the fundamentals of figure drawing: blocking in using comparative measurement, and modeling conceptualized form. This will offer a training ground for the eye where students will learn how far they can push accuracy and naturalism. Working from the live figure model through a series of long poses, students will learn to navigate anatomical relationships and describe the three dimensional experience on the flat page.
Through one-on-one instruction, drawing demos, & group discussions, Carson and Brock will alternate teaching days, each offering a unique but complimentary vision. This course will act as an introduction and supplement to the ideas explored in Grand Central Atelier’s core program.
